  • By train: The nearest station is Chalais, 10 minutes from Bellon.

How to get to Chalais:

From Bordeaux, take a direct or connecting train (often via Angoulême). Trains run daily. Tickets available at oui.sncf or Trainline. We’ll coordinate pickups from Chalais closer to the date.

2. Should I rent a car?

Yes — we highly recommend it, especially for exploring the area or getting to activities.

You can park directly at the wedding venue, Domaine Jasmin, which has plenty of parking.

3. What apps can I use to rent a car?

  • Turo (formerly OuiCar) – Peer-to-peer rental app widely used in France. Great prices and flexible pick-up options.

  • Direct bookings: Rent directly from Sixt, Europcar, Hertz, Avis at Bordeaux Airport.

4. If I’m staying at the wedding venue all week, can I cook or do laundry?

Yes — each house at Domaine Jasmin has a fully equipped kitchen and a washing machine for your use.

5. Can I work remotely from there?

Absolutely — the venue has high-speed fiber optic internet, ideal for home office or quick check-ins.

6. What if I have dietary restrictions?

Please include any allergies or dietary needs in your RSVP form, so we can plan accordingly.

7. Are there supermarkets or shops nearby?

Yes — Chalais has a small supermarket, bakery, pharmacy, and cafés. For larger stores, head to Barbezieux or Angoulême. Do essential shopping early in the week.

8. What should I wear to each event?

Each day has its own style — check the schedule for dress codes. Expect warm weather and outdoor settings.

9. What should I pack?

Swimsuit, comfortable shoes, light clothes, something Italian for Friday, and a jacket for the evenings. Sunscreen and bug spray too.

10. What’s the weather like in early July?

Typically warm (25–30°C) with cooler evenings. Most events will be outdoors.

11. What time is the wedding ceremony on July 4th?

The exact time will be confirmed closer to the date — expect it in the afternoon.
