Travel – How to Get to Bellon

Our wedding takes place in the village of Bellon, in the southwest of France, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. The area is rural, beautiful, and best reached by car or train.

Venue address:

  • The closest major airport is Bordeaux–Mérignac (BOD), located approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes from Bellon by car. You can check and compare flights on Skyscanner.

  • The nearest train station to the venue is Chalais, which is just 10 minutes away by car. We will help coordinate pickups from Chalais closer to the wedding.

    • If you are flying into Bordeaux, take the 30’Direct shuttle from the airport to Bordeaux Saint-Jean station (30’Direct shuttle), then take a regional train (TER) to Chalais. The journey takes around 55 minutes.

    • If you are coming from Paris, you can take a high-speed TGV train from Paris Montparnasse to Angoulême (around 1.5 hours), followed by a TER train from Angoulême to Chalais (35 minutes).

    • Alternatively, you can take the TGV from Paris to Bordeaux (around 2 hours), and then continue by car or train to Chalais.

Please let us know your arrival plans so we can help with any coordination, especially if you are arriving by train.

  • Driving from Bordeaux to Bellon takes approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes, while driving from Paris to Bellon takes approximately 5.5 to 6 hours.

We highly recommend renting a car if you plan to explore the area, shop locally, or attend events outside of the main venue. Car rentals are available at Bordeaux Airport through providers like Sixt, Europcar, Avis, and Hertz. You can also use Turo (formerly OuiCar), a peer-to-peer rental service that works like Airbnb for cars. Free parking is available at the venue.

Staying at Domaine Jasmin
(Wedding Venue)

Domaine Jasmin is not only our wedding venue but also our home for the week. It is a traditional French countryside estate made up of seven charming stone houses. The property is surrounded by fields, trees, and calm — a peaceful setting we’re excited to share with friends and family.

Each house is fully equipped with a private terrace, a kitchen, a washing machine, high-speed Wi-Fi, and comfortable indoor and outdoor spaces. The estate also has a swimming pool, perfect for cooling off, relaxing between events, or enjoying sunny afternoons together.

In total, Domaine Jasmin can host up to 50 guests across its houses.

  • The price is €190 per person for the full week. This is a fixed rate, whether you are staying just a few nights or the entire week. Due to limited space, we will confirm your spot by email after we receive your RSVP. Priority will be given to guests staying the full seven nights.

  • WE NEED TO CHANGE THAT

Some meals, including the wedding dinner and other evening events, will be provided. For all other meals, guests are welcome to cook in their own houses. Local markets and bakeries are available nearby in Chalais and Montmoreau, so you’ll have access to fresh ingredients and daily essentials.

  • If you need to work remotely during the week, you’ll be able to do so comfortably. All houses are equipped with fast, reliable Wi-Fi.

Staying at Le Domaine de Champ Rose
(Alternative Option)

For guests staying only the weekend or looking for an alternative setup, we have also reserved 5 rooms at Le Domaine de Champ Rose.

This property is located in Montmoreau, just 9 minutes by car from the wedding venue. It offers five quiet and comfortable guest rooms, each with a queen-size bed and the option to add an extra bed for children. All rooms have private bathrooms.

The house also features a heated swimming pool and a peaceful garden area, making it a great choice for families or anyone wanting a shorter stay in a relaxed setting.

Montmoreau also has a bakery, a small supermarket, and cafés, making it easy to get anything you may need.

  • The price is €120 per room, per night. If you’re interested in staying at Champ Rose, please let us know as soon as possible. We are managing the reservations directly and space is limited.
